Doom is rife. Be it war, holocaust, pandemic, catastrophes or environmental disaster. It is everywhere. The apocalypse is so ingrained in our psyches, we can no longer envisage an existence without the constant threat of annihilation. The climactic end of times is near.
As mankind has evolved, so has its perceived threat: From the elements themselves, to monsters and Gods, Spirits, Technology, Extra terrestrials and more recently nuclear war and our own emissions. Our weapon of choice for optimal apocalyptic devastation? The Machine.
“Machines of doom” provides the soundtrack for the war between humanity, played by the orchestra, and machines, who are represented by electronics. It is a collection of suitably devastating cross breeds of orchestral, electronica and dubstep. A clash of two musical titans: The full force of a symphonic orchestra at odds with mechanical rhythms and noise from the electronic ether. Let the ultimate battle commence!
